Correcting a Slide on Ice Under Snow

I was driving home on a winter day with nasty weather, and the city hadn't treated any of the roads with salt or plowed any of the snow that had fallen. I came into the turn with too much speed, then successfully tried to avoid hitting a pole in the process.
