On April 16, 2020, while cruising at 90 Km/Hr on Highway 33 (in BC) a Deer suddenly crossed the road in front of me. While I stepped on the brakes, I ended up hitting the deer and sent it flying.
The short version of this story is the deer was very much stunned and just laid there. I was not sure if it was going to die or not. I pulled over and directed a few cars pass the poor thing.
After about 5-minutes, it suddenly it leaps up and staggers pass me (its legs were flailing as if it were on a sheet of ice). It bumps into the rear panel and then slides down the side of the car (towards the front). And then just simply walked away and climbed up the incline (its original intended route). And while I watch it (somewhat shocked), it did not seem to have any limp or other visible injury! The other big surprise for me was that there was a ridiculously small (and I mean small) dent on my hood. And there was lots of deer hairs all over the front of the car. The car was otherwise unharmed.
